Where to Find Motivation
Every day can’t be a resounding success. It’s hard to push through those bland days that make you just want to relax and not do anything. Everyone has these types of days and it takes some supreme motivation to get you going. Even when you think a day is useless you can still try and turn it around. Here’s where to look for some motivation to get you going.
- Read some motivational quotes. This may not work for everyone but I bet there are a good handful of you that it does work for. I like to keep a group of quotes together with me at all times so I made a desktop wallpaper to do so. Check it out:
- Watch Al Pacino’s Any Given Sunday speech. This always gets me pumped up no matter what.
- Mentally trick yourself. A lot of times when I’m going to workout I just don’t want to. Instead of thinking about it I just shut off my brain and start putting my workout clothes on. After I’m all ready to go I think about whether I want to go again and I usually do just because I’m dressed. It sounds stupid but I swear it works.
- Take a nap. This kind of sounds counterintuitve but really it’s not. Many times when we feel lazy it’s really just our body saying it’s tired and needs a break. This is ok. If you take a quick 20 minute nap you will feel much more refreshed and able to tackle the rest of the day.
- Think about who you want to be. Read your mission statement. Go over your goals. Is doing what you’re doing coinciding with those goals? If it isn’t than readjust and move forward.
